Ingredients :
Gobi - medium sized
onion- 1 small
Greens peas - 1/2 cup
garlic - 2 pods
ginger- small piece
green chilly - 3
fresh coriander- 1/4 bunch
coconut grated- 2 Tbl spoons
red chilly powder - 1/2 tspoon
turmeric powder - 1/4 tspoon
garam masala powder 1 tspoon
Jeera/cumin seeds- 1/2tspoon
oil - 2 tspoons
Preparation method:
Step1: cut the cauliflower in to big florets and boil it for 5 mins by adding a pinch of salt, then drain the water and keep it aside.
Step2: grind to paste the following ingredients : onion,2pods of garlic,coconut,green chillies,fresh coriander.
Step3: Heat 2 tspoons of oil in a pan , add the cumin seeds and once it turns light brown in colour...add the cauliflower florets, green peas , salt , red chilly powder,garam masala powder,turmeric powder stir and mix well...let it cook for 2 mins.
Step4: Add the ground paste and mix it well and cook for another 7-8 mins.
Got this recipe from amma, this hardly took 15-20 mins to cook and that's exactly wat i wanted today, cos was late today doing my routine stuffs and talking to amma over phone, asked her to suggest a very quick recipe with gobi ,since i actually had planned to make aloo gobi.This goes well with roti & rice.
