seppankizhangu / arbi roast





Ingredients:

arbi - 1/2kg
salt - 1 tspoon
oil - 2 Tbl spoons
red chilly powder - 1 tspoon
mustard seeds - 1/2 tspoon
urad dal - 1/2 tspoon
asafoetida - 1 pinch

Preparation Method:

Step1 : pressure cook arbi for about 1-2 whistles.peel off the skin and keep it side.

Step2: heat 2 Tblspoons of oil in a pan add the mustard seeds once they splutter add the urad dal and fry until it turns a little reddish , now add the arbi and fry it for 5-6 mins, add salt , red chilly powder and asafoetida and fry it further for few mins until it is roasted well approx 7-8 mins.

lots of people are crazy about this.... and "Never say No" to this dish ;-) my husband love's it.
