Ingredients:
Red Kidney Beans- 200gms
Onion - 1 big
Tomato - 1 big
Green chillies - 3-4
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tspoon
Coriander/dhania powder - 1/2 tspoon
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tspoom
ginger & garlic - 1/2 tspoon finely chopped
salt to taste
oil - 1 Tblspoon
water - 1/2 cup
Method of Preparation:
Step1: Buy the canned red kidney beans at the stores in this case no need to soak or cook since it is already cooked this saves time.Better option is to soak the Red kidney beans overnight and then pressure cook.
Step2: In a pan heat oil and fry the chopped onions,ginger and garlic until they turn light brown and then add the green chillies and chopped tomatoes and cook for 3-4 mins.
Step3 : Add salt,red chilly powder, garam masala powder and dhania/coriander powder,1/2 cup of water mix well and cook until the oil separates then add the kidney beans and cook for 2-3 mins.
Rajma Masala goes well with Phulka, Roti and Naan.
